during this time, students registered with the office of student accessibility office will continue to receive their accommodations. while accommodations for the clinical/practicum/clerkship experience are on hold, other classroom/testing accommodations will still be implemented. please direct all questions to marie lusk via email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
1) i receive testing accommodations on campus, how will these be implemented remotely? testing accommodations will continue to be honored. faculty may launch the exam via respondus lockdown browser with the proper accommodation built into the exam or my office may provide the remote proctoring via zoom.
2) can i still record lectures now that we are remote learning? yes, most if not all of the e-lectures are launched through a learning platform that permits recording. faculty have been informed of this feature and are also recording lectures as well. should you need assistance, please email email@example.com for more information.
3) i had clinical accommodations, when i return to my placement, will they still be implemented? yes, all approved clinical accommodations will be resumed upon students return to their placements. if you have a new placement (location) upon return to campus, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and program director to ensure proper clinical site directors are informed prior to your return.
4) can i still apply for accommodations while the physcial campus is closed? yes! while we are not on campus, students may still request accommodations. please see the tab entitled “request accommodations” or email me at email@example.com directly to start the process. intakes will be done over the phone at this time.
1) i have never taught an online course, what resources do you have regarding accessibility for online instruction? first, contact our in house instructional designers at the center for teaching excellence and innovation or ctei //www.emmahutchinson.com/about/welcome-rush-university-center-teaching-excellence-and-innovation they have a wealth of information to share with faculty and can assist with accessibility features and overall guideance.

2) is the office of student accessibility still taking on new students at this time? yes, while we are not on campus, students may still request accommodations. please direct students to this website or to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org directly to start the process. intakes will be done over the phone at this time.
